About us
Welcome to KVIA - where cow wellness is our expertise. At the heart of our business is a deep understanding of how wellness directly affects milk production. It is our core belief that a happy cow is not only a responsibility, but also a source of increased productivity. Through our advanced cow brushes, we contribute to cow welfare while offering a healthy and sustainable way to increase milk production. It is a natural consequence that more welfare leads to more milk.
Kvia hasn't always focused on cow brushes. Our journey started back in 1981 with the production of truck and bus wash systems. An exciting time when we specialized in brushes - they just weren't meant for cows. But times change, and when the " Regulation on minimum animal welfare requirements for the keeping of cattle" came into force, we began to see a new opportunity to contribute to the world of agriculture. In 2014, inspired by the changing needs of agriculture and at the request of industry professionals, Carsten Papuga began the development of our current cow brushes.
Our cow brushes are designed with both economy and durability in mind. They run an average of 12 hours a day, which adds up to 4380 hours annually. But thanks to our innovative technology, they consume 50% less energy than other products on the market. With the use of gears, we ensure that both motor and gear have a longer lifespan and avoid overheating.
From 2022, it will be a legal requirement in Denmark to offer at least one rotary cow brush for every 50 dairy cattle. We fully support this initiative as our brushes not only de-stress and massage the animals, they also help keep them clean of dung and parasites. The increased friction improves blood circulation and metabolism, which noticeably improves milk production.
At KVIA, you get more than just a product - you get a partner in animal welfare. We offer professional advice and adapt our brushes to the specific needs of your cows.
Let's work together to create the best conditions for your animals and your production.
